Even a third of the way in, I was still hating the a$&hole. The H: I did NOT think I'd end up even liking him, let alone loving him.

If you like dirty talk in your books than this is the book for you my friend. I've found some good ones, but ffs this woman knows how to write the filthiest, sexiest sex talk you've ever heard. I know because I've chosen hundreds of books simply based on if they appeared on some platform when I Googled Books with filthy dirty talk. I've DNF nealry every book I've tried in which the heroin has made similar choices as our leading Lady here and instead of dnf this I just found myself becoming more and more invested in the characters and the story. It's a mindf**k because I still have no idea how she did it. All of this is to say that Nina Jones is a F**king magician of the highest order, because for the first time EVER I actually saw all of those things reflected in this heroines actions versus weakness. It's a weak pathetic woman we're seeing who doesn't value herself let alone insist anyone should. Time and time again we see authors shoving weak a$$ pathetic heroines down out throat, while trying to convince us that it's just her kindness, empathy, and capacity to forgive you're seeing when I'm reality, it is not. but this Author (for the first time ever) managed to make a heroine (Technally) do all of these things while not making it think of her as weak. My top dislike in any story is a weak heroine who allows an H to steamroll her or chases after the H, or one who puts themselves out there over and over, giving more than what they're getting. Normally I would HATE an h that made the choices she made. It was supposed to be quick and easy, but as soon as I met her it got complicated. Once I destroy her, everyone who ever hurt me will have paid their debt. The bubbling boil of vengeance that heats my blood might finally simmer. Because I had been in danger long before I ever invited it into my life. It was an illusion of danger that I could walk away from as soon as it was over.Įxcept that it wasn't. A way to break through the monotony of everyday life. Maybe I was bored, or lonely, or there was a void so deep inside of me that I needed something explosive to fill it. I don't know what I was thinking when I hired someone to attack me. "I need time to fully process what I just read but at this point PHENOMENAL won't cover it - It's THAT amazing!" ( SizzlingPages Romance Reviews) Lord, what a story." ( Fangirl Moments & My TwoCents Blog) I kept trying to put it down, but itwouldn't let me. I just finished this book, and I don't even know where to begin. Words can't describe the feelings I have after finishing what was one of themost fantastic novels I have read to date."
